Senior Clinical Pharmacist Grade 3 - Emergency Medicine Ballarat
Permanent Full Time – 40 hours per week with ADO (Part Time applicants considered)
About the Role
This senior role provides the opportunity to co-lead and grow clinical pharmacy services within a rapidly expanding Emergency Department. The role also contributes to innovation, service expansion and clinical excellence across the wider Grampians Health network.
You will oversee the delivery of advanced clinical pharmacy care across ED, SSU and EAC, guide the development of the clinical pharmacy team, and support major service initiatives, including planning for the new Emergency Department opening in 2027.
Core Duties
• Provide advanced clinical pharmacy care across ED, SSU and EAC
• Support day-to-day team workflow and safe transitions of care
• Act as a key clinical resource for pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams
• Deliver education to staff, students, patients and carers
• Provide consultative support for ED pharmacy service development across other campuses
Key Responsibilities
• Co-lead, supervise and actively contribute to the ED clinical pharmacy team
• Assist in extended-hours roster planning and workforce coordination
• Support medication safety activities, quality improvement and research projects in the ED
• Promote collaboration and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams
Skills & Experience
• AHPRA registered pharmacist
• Advanced clinical pharmacy capability
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Skilled in supervision, mentoring and team leadership
• Postgraduate clinical pharmacy qualification or ANZCAP credentialing desirable
