Senior Clinical Pharmacist - Medication Guidelines & Smart Pumps

$55.07 to $62.70 per hour + salary packaging | Senior Clinical Pharmacist - Medication Guidelines and Smart Pumps (Grade 3)
Fixed Term Part time (32 hours per week) | Parental Leave Cover (September 2025 to October 2027)

Option for hybrid work model (work from home with at least 1 day per week onsite)

 

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Pharmacy Department at Grampians Health as a Senior Clinical Pharmacist primarily responsible for optimising patient outcomes by leading the ongoing development and maintenance of Grampians Health wide medication guidelines and dose error reduction software systems (smart pumps).

In addition, you will provide high quality, on-site patient facing clinical pharmacy services one shift per week, within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary environment at one of Victoria's largest regional health services.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development and review of high quality, evidence based Grampians Health wide medication guidelines and smart pump software datasets for multidisciplinary team use 
  • Serve as a key member of the GH wide Drugs and Therapeutics Committee
  • Lead quality improvement and/or research activities linked to medication guidelines and smart pumps
  • Provide high quality consultative clinical pharmacy services to patients.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Registered Pharmacist with AHPRA
  • Bachelor or Master of Pharmacy (or equivalent) 
  • Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy (desirable)
  • Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving, negotiation and complex decision making skills
