About the Role

Grampians Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Residential Services Admissions & Finance Officer to join our Finance - Aged Care team. This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth, person‑centred, and compliant admission experience for residents entering our Residential Aged Care services across all Grampians Health sites. This role can be based at any of our campuses!

 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong admissions experience, high‑level organisational skills, and a commitment to supporting residents and families during significant life transitions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respectful, timely, and clear guidance to residents and families throughout the Residential Aged Care admission process.
  • Ensure all admissions comply with relevant aged care legislation, funding requirements, organisational policies, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate and timely processing of admission documentation across multiple sites.
  • Assist with end‑of‑month financial reconciliations and documentation management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, audit readiness, and quality initiatives.

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate IV or higher in Health Administration, Business, Aged Care, or related field, or equivalent experience in admissions.
  • Strong understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards, My Aged Care pathways, ACAS/ACAT assessments, privacy and consent requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in end‑to‑end admissions within residential aged care or a comparable setting.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across clinical, non‑clinical, and external services.
  • Experience with waitlist management, bed allocation, and high‑volume coordination.
  • High proficiency with administrative and clinical systems, including Microsoft 365.
