About the Role

Are you an experienced Speech Pathologist with a passion for improving mealtime safety and clinical excellence? Grampians Health is seeking a senior clinician to lead and support the implementation of the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) across Residential Aged Care Services and inpatient settings.

 

In this unique project-focused role, you will help drive system-wide improvements in dysphagia management, enhancing safety, consistency and quality of care for consumers across multiple sites. Working closely with dietetics, nursing, catering and quality teams, you will provide clinical leadership, education and implementation support to embed best-practice approaches and deliver sustainable change across the organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Support implementation of IDDSI across Grampians Health
• Deliver education, training and competency assessment programs
• Collaborate with clinical, catering and operational teams
• Contribute to menu standardisation and practice change initiatives
• Support audit, evaluation and quality improvement activities
• Promote safe, evidence-based dysphagia management practices

 

Skills & Experience

• Qualification in Speech Pathology
• Eligible for Certified Practising Speech Pathologist status
• Advanced dysphagia assessment and management skills
• Experience delivering education and workforce training
• Strong stakeholder engagement and project implementation skills
