Fixed Term Full Time (12 month parental leave cover) 80 hrs per fortnight including a monthly ADO
About the Role
Grampians Health Ballarat is looking for passionate experienced or early career Speech Pathologist keen to join our dynamic and innovative team. This is a rare opportunity to obtain a full time Grade 2 role in the acute setting with opportunities to work across a variety of programs in acute inpatients, specialist outpatient clinics and other programs.
As a Grade 2 Speech Pathologist you will have the opportunity to lead quality improvement activities, supervise junior staff and students and develop your leadership and management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence based assessments and therapy to adult clients
- Provide specialist input across acute, subacute and outpatient settings
- Prioritise caseload and plan care in consultation with senior staff
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the team
- Supervise students and support junior team members
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and statistics
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor or equivalent in Speech Pathology
- Current member of Speech Pathology Australia (full or provisional)
- Eligible for SPA Certification Program
- Valid driver's licence
- Strong clinical knowledge in adult communication and swallowing
