About the Role

Join a growing Pharmacy Stewardship team supporting antimicrobial programs across a large regional health service. You will work closely with the Coordinator to strengthen and expand sustainable stewardship initiatives, while contributing to clinical care, program development and service improvement.

 

This role offers the opportunity to build advanced skills in antimicrobial stewardship and medicines optimisation while supporting high-quality patient care.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day to day support to the antimicrobial stewardship programs throughout   

   Grampians health by promoting optimal use of antimicrobials

• Provide clinical advice and leadership support for continued implementation,

   embedding sustainable expansion and evaluation of future medicines stewardship    

   programs

• Assist with monitoring key performance indicators for stewardship programs through

   data collection, analysis and reporting

• Pharmacy and multidisciplinary team education programs

 

Skills & Experience

• AHPRA registration as a pharmacist
• Hospital pharmacy experience required
• Knowledge of NSQHS and care standards
• Strong planning and stakeholder skills
• Sound antimicrobial pharmacotherapy knowledge
