Voluntary Assisted Dying Service | Senior Clinical Role
About the Role
Provide expert clinical guidance and leadership in the delivery of Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) services across the Grampians region. As the VAD Navigator, you’ll support individuals, families, clinicians and health services to understand and navigate VAD processes, ensuring care is safe, compliant and person‑centred. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence system capability, improve access and support end‑of‑life care across a statewide network.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and support to people, carers and families
- Guide clinicians through VAD legislation and processes
- Coordinate referrals and access to appropriate care pathways
- Deliver education and build regional service capability
- Identify gaps and lead continuous service improvement
- Collaborate with statewide and regional stakeholders
Skills & Experience
- Senior clinician with relevant registration (AHPRA or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of end‑of‑life care and clinical practice
- Experience in education, leadership or program delivery
- Ability to manage sensitive conversations with empathy
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Clinical Nurse Consultant (ZA7) which is $68.06 per hour.
