3.5 hours per clinic | Up to 5 clinics per fortnight
$160.20 - $198.41per hour
As per applicable Medical Specialists Agreement
Fixed term: 2 February 2026 – 1 February 2027
About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to deliver specialist general medicine care through an innovative virtual clinic model supporting early discharge and community-based care. Working within Hospital without Walls, you will contribute to patient flow, multidisciplinary collaboration and stronger links with primary care. Clinics can be delivered from Ballarat CBD or remotely.
Key focus of the role:
- Deliver virtual post-discharge reviews for ward patients
- Support early discharge and safe care at home
- Enable GP-requested consults for known patients
- Contribute to streamlined admission pathways to HWoW
Key Responsibilities
- Provide virtual general medicine consultations
- Review patients post-discharge to support early exit
- Liaise with GPs and multidisciplinary teams
- Support direct admission pathways to HWoW
- Maintain clinical documentation and handover
- Work within credentialed scope of practice
Skills & Experience
- AHPRA registration as a specialist physician
- Eligible for Grampians Health credentialing
- Experience in General Medicine
- Ability to deliver care via virtual platforms
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
