About the Role

Grampians Health is looking for a motivated individual to join our Geriatric Evaluation and Management Unit as a Food & Domestic Services Assistant. You'll play a key role in assisting with food service, cleaning, and supporting our patients and their families.

Provide a high standard of work and utilise excellent communication skills

Work in a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering the best care

Enjoy a 7-day roster, including public holidays

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains a customer focus and professional presence
  • Engage with key Stakeholders to ensure service and processes delivered is person centred
  • Utilise resources responsibly and in a cost-effective manner
  • Demonstrate a person-centred care and respectful approach to patients, visitors and staff
  • Clean equipment as directed
  • Attend to general housekeeping duties as required by the clinical ward, including patient beverages and collection of daily supplies and newspapers etc

 

Skills & Experience

  • Food Handling Certificate (HLTFS207C - Follow Basic Food Safety Practices)
  • Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal skills
