About the Role
Grampians Health Ballarat is seeking a dedicated and organised Ward Clerk to join the General medicine and Oncology team. This role supports patient care and unit efficiency through frontline reception, clerical duties and administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
A day in the life:
- Provide reception, clerical and administrative support
- Assist with patient admissions and discharges
- Support the team with clerical tasks
- Manage patient files, mail and documentation
- Manage supplies and equipment orders
- Coordinate communication between staff, patients and service providers.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Promote a safe and efficient work environment
What we need from you:
- Strong clerical and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented work ethic
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and quality service
