About the Role
Grampians Health is seeking a proactive and compassionate Injury Management Advisor to provide support and guidance to staff and managers following work-related injuries. This role focuses on case management, coordinating return-to-work plans, and ensuring compliance with workers’ compensation legislation. You will play a key role in supporting injured employees to recover and reintegrate into the workforce as efficiently and safely as possible.
Key Responsibilities

Promote early return-to-work interventions and “remain at work” opportunities for injured staff.

Provide high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders, responding to queries and offering expert advice.

Build and maintain trusted relationships with staff, managers, medical professionals, and other key stakeholders.

Meet with injured workers and their managers to develop and monitor return-to-work plans.

Conduct worksite assessments and provide advice on safe duties, using clinical and biomechanical knowledge.

Liaise with medical professionals regarding diagnoses, treatment, and recovery plans.

Maintain accurate and timely case management records, incident reports, and database entries.
- Support training and education initiatives for leadership groups on injury management and early intervention.
Skills & Experience
Essential
-
WorkSafe-recognised RTW Coordinator Certificate.

Experience in injury management and return-to-work case management.
-
Excellent record keeping and communication skills.

Strong knowledge of the Victorian Workers Compensation system, including the WIRC Act 2013.

Victorian Driver’s License.
Desirable
-
Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health, Nursing, HR, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience in the healthcare sector.

Experience working with a WorkCover agent.

Knowledge of rehabilitation for physical and psychological injuries.

Understanding of OHS legislation.
