About the Role
This primary purpose of this role is to assist with completing general food services duties that contribute to providing a complete meal and catering service to all patients and residents of the GH Dimboola Campus in a friendly and pleasant manner. This position also includes preparation and delivery of meal trays and general cleaning duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a range of meal preparation and meal service activities
- Clean dishes and kitchen equipment including utensils, plant and equipment and general accessories
- Identify any supplies needed for cleaning duties
- Maintain any records or associated documents as directed
- Train new team members and provide ongoing training as required
- Work as part of a team
Skills & Experience
- Experience in cleaning procedures and the use of cleaning products within a kitchen environment
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and cleanliness standards for a Food Services environment
- Basic understanding of food and beverage operations
- Ability to manage and organise own time to meet deadlines
- Pleasant and courteous manner, can communicate effectively
- Completed or willing to obtain Food Handling Certificate (HLTFSE001)
