Administrative Assistant - Infection Control

About the Role
An opportunity exists for an experienced administrative professional who thrives working in a fast paced and complex work environment.
Working in conjunction with a team of professionals, this position will be responsible for the provision of high-level administrative support to the Infection Prevention and Control Team primarily at Horsham and the GH Infection Prevention and Control department as required.
Skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of, or the ability to provide, confidential, secretarial and administrative support
- Proven ability to manage workload and prioritisation with minimal supervision; ability to draft correspondence and other written documentation with minimal direction as required.
- Word processing and keyboard skills
- Database management skills
- Highly developed computer skills
- Communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate availability in our electronic rostering system and accepting shifts based on availability
- Demonstrated ability to function within a team
- Flexibility to work across a variety of locations and shift times
- Provide a high standard of administrative support
- Accurate data entry into required software systems
- Willingness to learn and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Participate in annual performance reviews
- Commitment to ongoing mandatory education
Skills and experience
- Demonstrated high level communication to be able to interact with a wide variety of individuals
- High level computer skills are essential for this role with particular emphasis on accurate data entry
- Demonstrated person-centred care and respectful approach to patients, visitors and staff
- Prior experience in a health setting would be advantageous but is not essential
- Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain is essential
