About the Role
We are seeking Food Service Assistants to join our dedicated Food & Domestic Services team at our Ballarat Campus. Care for our patients in a unique way by preparing and plating food hygienically, handling function trolleys, and ensuring safe food storage. Duties also include maintaining food temperature records, following workflows, and completing cleaning tasks as scheduled.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete tasks in a timely, organized manner with pride in food presentation.
- Accurately record food temperatures and participate in ongoing training.
- Positively influence team members and maintain effective communication with all customers.
- Collaborate with other departments to solve problems and ensure a safe work environment.
- Adhere to Grampians Health’s policies on infection control, health and safety, and confidentiality.
- Demonstrate commitment to diversity, patient-centered care, and continuous improvement in the workplace.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in the food services industry / a large food production kitchen preferred.
- An accredited certificate in basic food handling - HLTFSE001
- Committed to high quality customer service
