About the Role
Join our caring team at Kurrajong Lodge as a Residential Services Assistant. This role suits someone who enjoys working independently while contributing to a supportive care environment. You will prepare and deliver meals to residents according to their individual dietary needs and ensure the kitchen and dining areas are safe, clean and welcoming.
You will receive four days of paid training before starting and work as part of a team focused on quality care and service for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate availability and accept shifts in the rostering system
• Prepare and serve resident meals based on dietary requirements
• Set up and clean kitchen and dining areas for food service
• Follow safe food handling and infection control procedures
• Provide friendly and respectful service to residents and visitors
• Participate in mandatory training and annual performance reviews
Skills & Experience
• HLTFSE001 – Follow Basic Food Handling Practices, or willingness to obtain
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work with limited supervision
• Person-centred approach and commitment to resident care
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
