Maintenance Technician

About the role
Join a hands‑on team where you take real ownership of maintaining hospital buildings, plant and essential services across the Horsham and Dimboola campuses. You’ll grow your technical capability, work across varied systems, and support safe, reliable services for our community. This role is permanent full time, 40 hours a week + a monthly ADO and includes rotating weekend/public holiday shifts and participation in a 24/7 on‑call roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain plant and equipment across both campuses
- Run inspections, fault find and complete preventative/corrective tasks
- Test and repair steam boilers up to 3MW
- Keep accurate documentation and digital records
- Change piped medical gas cylinders as required
- Support planned maintenance, incl. vehicle fleet care
Skills & Experience
- Trade aptitude: mechanical, building/joinery, electrical or plumbing
- Strong problem‑solving and task prioritisation
- Confident working independently and in a team
- Able to work flexibly incl. on‑call and shift rosters
- Current driver licence
- Solid literacy and computer skills
