About the Role

  • Play a crucial role in managing patient flow within the Acute site and between Grampians Health campuses
  • Training and ongoing support provided
  • A chance to expand your skills and experience in this supportive and collaborative environment
  • Rotating Rosters - Monday-Sunday with varying shift lengths

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with all after hours clinical teams to coordinate an effective centralised bed management system
  • Oversee the operations of the Stawell Campus to ensure optimal patient access and flow
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of all points of access into the campus, across Grampians Health and the Grampians region
  • Ensure referrals from other health services are triaged and prioritised for admission and a timely safe transfer plan is implemented
  • Keep team members focused when under pressure through role modelling a calm approach, adopting a positive outlook and offering support where necessary

 

Skills & Experience

  • Registered Nurse or Midwife with experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Strong organisational and communication skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant post graduate qualifications, management experience desirable
