About the Role

The operating suite is seeking applications from dynamic, experienced and suitably qualified Registered Nurses who would like to continue their career within the perioperative suite at Grampians Health.

We welcome new team members and offer a supportive environment with a comprehensive orientation process in addition to continued education and training. Applicants must have a commitment to being part of the on-call team and working after hours/weekends. Our Operating Suite consists of 2 theatres and a 4-bay recovery/PAR.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Duties will include all aspects of Scrub/Scout, Recovery and/or Anaesthetics Nursing
  • Specialities include Orthopedic, General, ENT, Ophthalmology, Vascular, gynaecology, Dental, Obstetrics.
  • Supports the Nurse Unit Manager and the team to review and evaluate best practice, evidence based clinical care.
  • Role models a positive vision for change and supports change management at both local and organisational level

 

Skills & Experience

  • Be eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold a current Practicing Certificate
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency and commitment in complying with current standards of practice
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proven ability to respond appropriately to high pressure situations
  • Facilitate and foster best practice and care delivery to our patients
  • Previous experience and knowledge of Perioperative/Anaesthetic/Recovery room Nursing preferred

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Registered Nurse Grade 2 (YP2 - YP9) which ranges from $42.60 - $54.41 per hour.
