About the role

The Consultant Anaesthetist will provide clinical anaesthetic services, including perioperative care, to patients of Grampians Health Stawell.  Outreach service to Ballarat and Horsham may be required intermittently.  This includes performing a share of on-call duties and responsibilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Provide specialist anaesthetic services in Stawell, and intermittently Ballarat and Horsham.
  • Manage the full range of paediatric and adult & obstetric patients.
  • Participate in clinical research projects.
  • Participating in the ongoing review of their Clinical Practice

 

 

Skills and experience

You will have:

  • Fellowship of ANZCA or equivalent and being registered as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.  A Rural Generalist Anaesthetist will be considered.
  • A medical degree registered with AHPRA.
  • Experience in anaesthetic service provision in a regional environment.
  • Experience in clinical anaesthetic care across a wide range of surgical specialties, including paediatrics.  Experience in thoracic and vascular anaesthesia preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with people at all levels
